- How does the pre-order process work?
When you place a $250 refundable deposit, you secure your Founder's Build and are added to our production queue. From there, you'll receive exclusive updates from our design and engineering team—and as a Founding Collaborator, you may even have the opportunity to shape the process. When it's your turn, a dedicated Build Specialist will schedule a video call to walk you through your custom TYO configuration. Your unit will then enter production, and you'll be notified when it ships. Most units arrive within a week of entering production.
- Is my deposit refundable?
Yes, your $250 deposit becomes fully refundable—no questions asked—once your build specialist contacts you to begin the configuration process. At that point, you’ll have a 3 to 5-day window (before your TYO enters production) to request a refund if you change your mind. This brief but flexible period is designed to give you peace of mind while allowing us to prepare and schedule production efficiently. After your build enters production, the deposit becomes non-refundable, as materials and labor are committed.
- Can I customize my unit before it ships?
Yes—and we make it incredibly easy. As a founding owner, you’ll receive the full white-glove treatment. When it’s your turn in the build queue, a dedicated specialist will reach out and personally guide you through all the options. From layout and inserts to finishes and accessories, you’ll make every choice that fits your craft and style. Once you approve the configuration, we’ll move into production. It’s personal, simple, and even a little fun.
- Can I order multiple units for my team or company?
Absolutely. Whether you need 2 or 2,000 units, we’re built for it. From custom branding and engineered inserts to managing production timelines and materials at scale, we’re ready to outfit your entire team. TYO is proudly designed and manufactured in Lake Bluff, Illinois, on the beautiful North Shore of Chicago, on Lake Michigan—with our engineering team in Chicago's West Loop. Every unit reflects our commitment to American craftsmanship, high-performance materials, and unmatched attention to detail. As we scale production, we’re actively exploring additional networked facilities in Florida and beyond to better serve our growing community of craftmasters nationwide.
